The Plankton Project is a CIC researching the diversity of near-shore plankton along the North Norfolk coast and sharing what they find with as wide an audience as possible. Following the branding work, we were asked to design and build their website in Next.js.

The logo we'd designed for the brand lent itself to a bit of interaction, so on the website it responds to hover on desktop and touch on mobile. It adds life to the site without overpowering the content. We believe that this is the kind of detail that makes a site feel considered rather than assembled.

Content management is handled through Sanity with live preview enabled, so the team can see exactly how changes will look before anything goes live. For a small research CIC without dedicated technical staff, being able to update the site confidently and independently was as important as how it looked.
